What is ORCID?

ORCID is a unique identification number that can make your scholarship easier to find and attribute.

What is a Scopus ID?

Your Scopus Author ID allows you to track your publications indexed in the Scopus citation database and build metric reports

Scopus Author IDs and ORCID IDs are interoperable, meaning they can be linked and information can be shared between the two systems. This allows researchers to easily connect their Scopus author profiles with their ORCID records, enabling them to import publications and citation information from Scopus into their ORCID profiles.

1. Log in to Scopus: Access Scopus through your institution's library or directly via the Scopus website. 
2. Find your Scopus Author Profile: Locate your author profile by searching for your name and affiliation. 
3. Initiate the connection: Once on your profile page, click on "Connect to ORCID". 
4. Authorize Scopus: You'll be redirected to ORCID to authorize Scopus to access your ORCID record. 
5. Link your publications: Review and select the publications you want to link to your ORCID record. You can also remove any publications that are not yours. 
6. Confirm and send: Review the final list and confirm the connection, sending your Scopus Author ID and publication list to ORCID. 
7. Verify the link: Check your ORCID record to ensure the connection and publications are correctly added,

Google Scholar Citation Profile is a popular tool to showcase your research outputs alongside citations  associated with these outputs.  It also calculates some basic bibliometric indicators of impact such as h-index  and i10-index.
