FEBE- Urban and Regional Planning: Finding Books

A guide to finding Town & Regional Planning information resources.

Print Books

The library catalogue enables you to establish which items (books, journals, e-books, reference material, etc.).  UJ possesses in its libraries. It will indicate whether the book is available in print or electronic format.

To access the library catalogue, go to the UJ Website, select Library and then click on UJ Library Catalogue

The default is on keywords. Other search options such as titleauthor,  journal titleSubjectISBN, etc. can also be selected and used for finding material.  The name of the library in which the item is to be found is also given. If it is not at your home campus, you may request it through Inter-campus loans.

What do you need to find a book on the shelf?

Short Loan Books

Some items additional to the prescribed books, are placed on the Reserve shelf - also known as Short loans. This material can be used only in the library. Your student card will allow you to use the two items for two hours at a time.

Two hours before the library closes, you may take an item home with you. It will be issued out to you, and must be returned before eight o' clock on the following working day.
