Zotero is a free and open-source reference management software to manage bibliographic data and related research materials (such as PDF files). It is easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources. Zotero collects all your research in a single, searchable interface. 2. Storing and sharing files and documents

Google Drive - Cloud Storage & File Backup. 3. Preparing Documents & Writing

LaTex: LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting system; it includes features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation. LaTeX is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific documents. LaTeX is available as free software.

 

Google Docs: Create and edit web-based documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Store documents online and access them from any computer.

4. Research Software & Analysing Data

Access to the following Research Software's is available on Blackboard:

Acrobat Professional XI: Software with which you can create and edit PDF files, create encapsulated postscript files, and, protect PDF files and create forms. License key: Available during installation by a consultant - 300 licences. You will be required to enter your cell number

  

IBM SPSS AMOS 22: A tool which enables you to specify, estimate, assess and build attitudinal and behavioural models that reflect complex relationships to show hypothesized relationships among variables. License key: Unlimited users. You will be required to enter your cell number and download IBM SPSS Amos software. Instalation guide is available

SPSS 22: A software package used for statistical analysis. Its officially known as IBM SPSS Statistics. License key: Unlimited access.
 

 

ATLAS.Ti 7: A research tool for the qualitative analysis of large bodies of textual, graphical, audio and video data. The software allows you to analyse all your data side-by-side in multi-window frames. License key: Unlimited users. Your personal key will be available once you download the software. You will be required to enter your cell number and download the ATLAS.TI 7 software. Instalation guide is available

Mathematica 10.0.2: Almost any workflow involves computing results, and that's what Mathematica does. License key: Ulimited users. A CAT consultant will send you a licence key via email.

System Modeler uses versatile symbolic components and offers an all-in-one integrated workflow, all backed with the ultimate computation environment. License key: A CAT consultant will send you a licence key via email.

Respondus is a Windows application that enhances the functionality and usability of Blackboard's Test, Survey and Self-Test tools. License key: Unlimited users. Information is included in the zip file.

Stata 13: Stata is an integrated statistics package data analysis and includes data management, statistical analysis, graphics, simulations, and custom programming. License key: 40 users

Lertap

Lertap is a software system used to process and analyze data collected from quizzes, exams, tests, and surveys. Lertap is an acronym for the Laboratory of Educational Research Test Analysis Package.  It dates way back to 1973. Lertap 5, the latest "genre", works with Microsoft's spreadsheet program, "Excel". There are versions for Macintosh and Windows computers.
