Safety Rules and Tips

MakerSpace Tips:

  • The users need permission from the MakerSpace staff before they are allowed to use any tools.
  • The tools cannot be used before the users are trained in the usage of the tools by the MakerSpace staff.
  • No altering or misuse of tools is allowed.
  • The tools must be switched off and not left running and unattended.
  • The tools must be switched off when not in use.
  • Safety wear (gloves and or goggles) must always be worn when working with hand tools 

MakerSpace Rules:

  • All equipment and tools must be used within the MakerSpace. Currently, there is no charge to use the equipment or tools
  • All tools, equipment, and workstations are available on a first come first serve basis (if a booking had not been made beforehand)
