WELCOME TO THE LIBRARY

Neo is going to struggle with his assignment topic unless he gets to know the library. This means visiting the library to learn all about the library services, facilities, and resources. The library is the one-stop-shop where he can get all the assistance he needs to successfully complete his assignment.

  • Neo's lecturers will provide him with a list of prescribed and recommended readings, which he will use throughout the year. Many of these readings will be available online as well and can be accessed from the library computers.

  • Some books are not available for borrowing. These books Neo may read in the library and make notes. Neo may also borrow books via our Inter-Campus Lending service from our five libraries, other than Neo's resident campus library. Remember, Neo is going to spend more time reading as he goes on with his degree and will be using more specialist books, online resources and search tools. By becoming an active library user early on will help Neo overcome any academic anxieties.

At the end of this Unit, Neo will have a clear understanding of the various functions of the library and how to use it.

How can the library help you achieve academic success?
